This fast-growing evergreen shrub has wavy-edged, glossy and crinkled leaves. Although tiny bell-shaped flowers are borne from late spring to early summer, followed by black-ish seeds, it’s the foliage that is it’s main feature. If allowed in milder areas it can drop into a small tree, but it also reponds well to pruning to restrict it’s growth to a more compact size. Hence this is ideal for adding structure and architectural interest to the garden.
